An inspirational story….
This man, my brother in law, had survive a terrible accident a few years ago that left him paralyzed. He is considered quadriplegic. Yet he doesn’t let that slow him down. He stays active and spends time a lot of time with his beautiful kids. Today he entered into a 27 mile bike ride in Downtown Houston. Yes, thats right….27 miles. He had said he was going to do it, and he did! Can you get on your bike, fully functional limbs and all and do 27 miles with out begging for death? I can’t….5 or so miles tops for me!
Quoting my niece here….”He is the meaning of strength. Seeing him do this makes me realized that believing in yourself is an important thing in life. He believed he could….and he did!” Bravo Lou! You are amazing!
Makes you want to get your fat ass off the couch doesn’t it? So glad we started our journey to become more active and healthier adults. And seeing this photo is an inspiration! I can see a 5k in our future this year……. baby steps….. baby steps……
